Craft Fair

October 10th, 2009

Program Coordinator: Sue Schultz

Future of the NB Arts & Crafts fair

Do you love the annual Craft Fair, with the fine, handcrafted products drawing local community members into our school building?  If so, then we need your help.  It has become increasingly expensive to put on this event, due to ever-increasing taxes, permits and regulations specific to the running of the trade-show portion of the event.  And, it requires a tremendous time commitment, especially during the summer months prior to the event.  This link will take you to a synopsis of October's fair, created by Sue Schultz, who will be graduating from our building this spring.  This document also contains a financial analysis from October 2009.  At the PTA General Meeting January 26th, we would like to hold a frank discussion on the future and form of this event.  Do we continue with the event in it's current form, discard the trade show and just have a Carnival and Bake Sale and Raffle or ... ? Please join us in helping to shape the future of our fundraising efforts.

This is one of our most popular community involved programs throughout the year. North Beach Elementary hosts this popular community October craft fair. Artisans from around the region display their wares just in time for for jump on holiday shopping. During the fair the PTA sponsors a bake sale and Skillet will be there offering lunch to shoppers and vendors.
