The North Beach Giving tree provides invaluable support for North Beach Families during the holiday season. The goal of the program is to provide families with needed gifts for their family during the holiday season. Items mostly requested are Winter Coats, Winter Boots, Rain boots, underwear, toiletries and grocery store gift certificates. All participating familiy names are kept in the strictest of confidence.

The items requested by the participating families are posted on the 'Giving Tree' at the end of November and the community responds by purchasing the wished for item and returning it to school, unwrapped. The program chair then organises distribution of the items to the recipient families with the help of volunteers.

The success of the NB Giving tree is down to the volutneer effort required to make it all happen - and it does work well.
