Homework: The following is homework that will be due on days indicated.
Social Studies: Due Tuesday. Family history—living in Washington is part of your family history. Write a few sentences that tell about the first people in your family to live in Washington. Who were they? Where did they come from? Why did they come?
Social Studies Vocabulary—Due Friday, be able to spell and define: artifact, autobiography, biography, history, oral history, portrait, chronological, century, decade, era, document, historian, point of view, primary source, secondary source
Math: Due Tuesday. Lesson 71, problems 1-30, odd only. See student planner for daily assignments this week.
Due Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Writing: Evaluating Anything Written—use this form to evaluate any writing you read each night. Minimum one sheet per night.
NOTES:
Please return the permission slips for the mock trial field trip on Monday, March 15, and the Cedar River Watershed field trip on March 23.
Ocean Science Training at the Seattle Aquarium
Parents take advantage of Ocean Science training at the Seattle Aquarium:
- Saturday, March 20, 2010 and
- Sunday, March 21, 2010.
Free Aquarium Admission and childcare provided while you attend the training.
Parents who complete the Inquiry Science Workshop training and chaperone 2 field trips will receive a free Seattle Aquarium Annual Family Pass at the end of the school year. Call 386-4353 to register.
Parents, look for the volunteer sign up sheet outside of room 15.
