STAR Expectations

In my class each student is encouraged to strive for excellence and to always do their personal best. I have a set of base rules I call the "Star Rules." I tell them to be a star and follow the star rules!

My Communication Policy

I ask that you please e-mail me or send in a note when you would like to speak to me about questions or concerns regarding your child, school policies or classroom issues.

You do not need to e-mail me to ask me QUICK questions regarding lost forms, to tell me someone else is picking up your child or ask non-student issue related questions like: "Which day is the field trip this week?" etc.. .

I ask this because due to my very busy schedule, I often do not have time before school or right after school to discuss important issues without notice. I plan what I need to accomplish before & after school each day in order to stay on schedule.

I am more than happy to meet with you. Your concerns are important to me and I want to be prepared and able to give them the time they deserve.

Also, it has been my experience that often I have been able to answer questions over e-mail and parents have felt they did not need to meet face-to-face after all.
