BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB
The library has a birthday book club at North Beach Elementary. This is an opportunity for parents and their children to donate a book on the school Amazon wish list to the library in celebration of their child's birthday. The donated book is presented by the child and the librarian to their child's class during library time. The donated book will have the child's name printed on a "donated by" label inside the book cover and placed in a special birthday book club shelf in the library. Thank you in advance for considering a donation to the library as an additional fun way for your child to celebrate their birthday.
To view the wish list go to http://tinyurl.com/nbwish. Then follow the steps listed in the document below.
To maximize your donation you can start at http://www.smile.amazon.com and select North Beach PTA as your charitable organization so a portion of your purchase, if eligible, will also be donated to the school. If you have any questions, please contact Luci Bakker

BOOK FAIR
Welcome to the North Beach Elementary virtual book fair, presented by Phinney Books on Bookshop.org!

The fair will run from December 7 to December 24, 2021, and the North Beach library will receive a credit of 25% of all sales to spend on books for the school. Here's how the fair will work:
- You can browse our lists below of popular and recommended books in various categories, but any purchase you make on the site will be included in the school credit. Use the search box at the top of the page to access almost any book in print. As long as you see "North Beach Elementary" listed as your affiliate in the upper left corner of the page, you'll know that your purchases, no matter where you find them in the store, will be credited to the school.
- All purchases on Bookshop will be shipped from the wholesaler's warehouse directly to the purchasers (or to gift recipients). There is not an option for in-store pickup. Please allow 7-10 days for shipping for books in stock.
- There is a shipping charge for all purchases, but Bookshop also discounts most books between 8-10%, which covers much of the shipping cost.
- If you purchase books to donate to the school, please have them shipped to you and then bring them to the school.
- You can also purchase books at Phinney Books during the book fair and have the books count toward the school credit. Just let us know at checkout that you want them applied to the North Beach fair, and we'll add them to the school total.
- Gift wrapping is now available on Bookshop, for a small fee, and you can have books shipped directly to the recipients.
- If you want to have books shipped to multiple locations, please place separate orders for each location.
- If while browsing through the site, you find another store listed as your affiliate in the upper left corner, here's how you can return to having North Beach listed there instead: type "North Beach" in the search box, click on "Show results for SHOPS," and then click on View Shop under North Beach Elementary. That will make North Beach your affiliate again, so your purchases will be credited to the school.
- For any customer service questions about your orders, please contact Bookshop via the "Support/Help" link at the bottom of every page.
